Somali Pirates have seized another ship, this time a Greek-owned bulk carrier named MV Filitsa. This Marshall Island flag carrier is manned with 22 crew members- three Greek , and 19 Filipinos.

Just last week an article written by Kimberly Jane T. Tan  of  GMANews.TV reported that 36 Filipinos were already under hostage by these pirates.

According to CNN, there have been more than 100 pirate attacks off east Africa just this year alone.

The MV Filitsa, 14,431 GT, is owned by Fortress Shipping Co. and operated by TKB Shipping.
